PI Update: Sound Society Radio Show Coming To An End

We're disappointed to learn that the long-running Sound Society Radio Show, a feature at The Edison Orlando on Pleasure Island, will be coming to an end on Saturday, September 27th. The show has been operating for around four years. They operated in Depression-era clothing and performed Jazz and melodies from that era. You can catch a show nightly prior to then.
No reason for the shut down was announced, nor what kind of entertainment would replace it.

Wow. This is incredibly disappointing. While the Edison isn't what the Adventurers Club was, I've always enjoyed my visits, mainly because of this show. I'm glad I stopped in when I visited last month to catch one last show!

Hopefully we'll get some sort of replacement.

I'm not sure what's up over there. They used to clear the tables and chairs after the Sound Society shows and create a busy dance floor with presumably good bar sales and that never returned post-pandemic. Sound Society may have been expensive to operate with 3-4 members. We'll keep everyone updated.
