Club Reports: Sail-Away Party, Seascape Bar (MSC Seascape), Privilege Pool, Señor Frog's (Nassau)

By now you know that if we’re traveling we like to share entertainment choices in the various cities we’re in or ships we’re on. So here we were sailing on MSC Seascape heading to Nassau and their private island, Ocean Cay. There are 4 ships in their Seaside-class of ships and with this cruise, we've now been on all of them.

Sailing from PortMiami, we headed out to sea shortly after the listed 5PM departure time.
And that meant it was time for that cruise ship tradition of traditions, the Sail-Away Party!

Featuring MSC's animation team!

The initial crowd was a bit spartan for a ship this large.

But the late-arrivals arrived and it got pretty crowded.

The music delivered by the ship's resident DJ Jean Garrie (DR).

We heard cruise ship staples such as "Follow The Leader", "Apple Bottom Jeans" and.....

"Cupid Shuffle".

First time seeing him play.

You can never go wrong with Go Go girls.

And a good time was had by all. However, the party was abruptly cancelled as we headed into rain and wind squalls out in the ocean.

That night we dropped-by Seascape Bar located in the ship's atrium.

The bar itself was jammed but they no longer serve the MSC exclusive Frozen Toblerone drink.

Live band "Tarantella" (RP) were playing classic hits such as "Bad Girl", "Hot Stuff" and "September".

Atrium was packed to the rafters and a good time was had by all.

Our first port was Nassau, Bahamas where we headed out to the Privilege Pool at Baha Mar Resort. A taxi ride out here would cost a small bundle but using the No. 10 jitney only cost $1.50 each way.

Sadly, with it being off-season currently, the DJ booth was idle and they only have a DJ on Saturdays here. A music track was playing nonetheless which was initally current Hip Hop before switching over to 90's Classic Hip Hop.

No Frozen Toblerone but I was able to get a gin & tonic.

The pool area was a bit idle too. In season this would be packed too.

One last stop on the way back to the ship at Señor Frog's.

Good to see DJ Doughboy (BS) back in the booth playing mostly Hip Hop hits. We had met him during our late-July visit to Nassau off Margaritaville at Sea Paradise.

Narration for the party was provided by MC Piper (BS).

Parties at Señor Frog's in Nassau are not as wild as what we see at their Mexican locations but they are a lot of fun.

And a good time was had by all.

Elsewhere in Nassau, the famous Water Tower which sits at the city's highest point and stands 126-ft tall, is finally being renovated. It was damaged by a hurricane more than 20 years ago and has remained closed. Once the renovations are completed, the observation deck on top will reopen to the public and offer fantastic views of the city below as well as all the ships in port. With adjacent Fort Fincastle and the famous Queens Staircase, the trio will offer a fantastic walk-to destination without having to pay for an excursion.
