DS Update: The Motion Corridor

One of the issues with Pleasure Island was that shoppers and pedestrians wanting to visit the other half of the Downtown Disney complex had an obstacle getting there. While they could traverse the Island during the day, it was blocked at night when the clubs were operating. At night, they had to go around and there was really no good way. But under the Hyperion Wharf concept which was to replace Pleasure Island, this service/garbage dumpster area behind Raglan Road was to be opened up to create a pedestrian walkway we labeled the "Motion Corridor". We named it after that brown building in the back, club Motion.

It was to contain several shops along the shortcut.

Recent photo of the Motion Corridor in action. There are three shops along the way and all of them are original to when the corridor first opened. On the near left, Erin McKenna's Bakery NYC. On the far left, Chapel Hats. On the right, Havaianas
