Club Reports: Black Friday @ Manikins Lounge, Abyss @ Good Times Bar

Halloween Night on a weekend this year so we felt it was a perfect time to visit some Goth clubs beginning with "Black Friday" at The Manikin Lounge in beautiful downtown Sanford.

We arrived relatively early only to find this queue stretching from the club's entrance all the way to the nearest street corner. Big thanks to owner Tom Morris for allowing us to use the "Skip The Line" VIP door.

Just as it should be on a weekend night, the legendary DJ Paul Vaine (USA) was in the booth delivering a frightening mix of Goth, Industrial, Darkwave & Punk, many of the tunes with accompanying music videos on the monitors.

The dance floor was absolutely jammed!

Many of the revelers in their Halloween best.

Last night was extra-crowded because of Halloween but it gets like this every Friday night! The lasers were flying.

Paul Vaine returns to Manikins tonight for 80's Night. Paul been playing 80's since at least the 80's so put your costume back on and come on over! They have a shiny disco ball so you know the place is legit.

The later it got, the more crowded it got.

And a good time was had by all.

We next headed over to Good Times Bar & Grill in Maitland, located in a strip center along Keller Road in that city's office building district.

Good Times is usually home to numerous liveTop 40 and cover bands but last night it was home to "Abyss", a special Halloween edition of their monthly Goth night ft. DJ Lavidicus (USA).

It wasn't as crowded as Manikins but it's a much-larger space.

The Goths come out at night.

The music a mix of Industrial, Darkwave, Goth and Power Noise.

As we mentioned, this was a special Halloween edition of "Abyss" which normally takes place on the first Friday night of every month. So yes, "Abyss" returns next Friday night, November 7th, right here at Good Times. You can find their entire entertainment schedule HERE.
