Trip Report: Brick Fan Event @ Dezerland Park

This is Dezerland Park on north International Drive in Orlando. It originally opened and operated under the Caribbean-themed Festival Bay Mall name from around 2002 until 2013 but never really caught-on with locals or tourists with its small selection of shops and restaurants. It then operated under the Artegon Marketplace name from 2014 until 2017 and then as Dezerland beginning in 2020.
It's marketed as an entertainment complex and it sure is. There's a huge arcade. A pinball palace, bumper cars.....

There's a car museum.

Large go-kart track.
Even a James Bond museum.

Cinemark had opened with the original Festival Bay and remains here.

Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World is also an original and is still here as well. Long gone are originals such as Vans Skatepark, Ron Jon Surf Shop, Steve & Barry's University Sportswear and Caddyshack Restaurant.

We were here yesterday to visit The Event Place at Dezerland.

We were here for the Brick Fan Event. The word LEGO is never mentioned but this was definitely for LEGO fans.

There were dozens of LEGO displays.

Many of them amazing!

About a dozen vendors too selling anything from LEGOMAN to retired sets.

Fun for the whole family.

Pretty impressive show if you're a LEGO enthusiast. And who isn't?

A good time was had by all.
