Concert Reports: Lee Foss (Elixir Bar), Claude VonStroke (Fixtion)

There are some nights when there is so much is going on that you're forced to pick-and-choose. We began the evening at Elixir Bar.

Arriving around 10PM, DJ Ma Duro! (USA) and DJ Jesse James (USA) were taking turns in the booth.

Only a few dancers in the club at this early hour.

 

House music was the order of the evening. But it was early so we'll come back later.

We headed over to Fixtion. When the Gilt Nightclub group closed their club out by Orlando Executive Airport, they came downtown and created Fixtion in the former Sideshow spot.

We arrived to find DJ Soypasha (USA) in the booth playing House.

And around 11:15PM, shift change.

The booth suddenly got crowded.

With DJ Dre Mendez (USA) going first.

Taking turns with DJ duo Too Heavy Crew (USA).

They were taking turns and each having a fun time up there.

During their set, the club got crowded.

And then just before 12:30AM, there he was, the headliner.....

DJ Claude vonStroke (USA)

The instigator of the Dirtybird Records label that includes DJ's such as Fisher (AUS), Justin Martin (USA) and Kyle Watson (USA).

We last saw Claude vonStroke when he did an open-to-close set at Ace Cafe back in 2022.

It was packed last night. We hope Fixtion continues to bring big name DJ's to this relatively intimate setting.

A good time was had by all.

OK, there was still time to return to Elixir's famous outdoor patio and we walked into this!

The headliner was in progress: DJ Lee Foss (USA).

We last saw Lee Foss back in 2021, coincidentally also at Ace Cafe.
