Club Reports: Springs In Motion, STK (Disney Springs)

As we approached the No. 2 Bridge at Disney Springs, is it any wonder that our palms began to sweat and the heart beat faster? Across the bridge in front of us.....beautiful Pleasure Island.

Our beloved Mannequins Dance Palace is still here, you just can't dance on their revolving dance floor any longer.

Our first stop was to check on the Springs In Motion family dance party which takes place on Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights in Expo Park aka Food Truck Park, Disney Springs West Side.

Wednesday night resident DJ Lex (USA) was in the booth playing Top 40.

Now that summer is here along with all the tourists, would seem to make sense for this family DJ dance party to operate nightly rather than just three times per week. But we're not aware of any such plans at this time.

Our reason for vising Disney Springs last night was to visit STK which was having a special invite-only "Laidback Lounge" event to introduce their new Summer Menu.

Invitees received free select drinks at this third floor bar.

And free food!

And when we saw Wagyu beef potstickers and flank steak skewers, we were in hog heaven!

The music was delivered by STK resident DJ Marc Sparcs (USA).

The music was described as 90's west coast nostalgia taking place in a 90's inspired lounge.
On the sax, Caleb Joel aka Joelz Sax (USA).

STK is working nationally in collaboration with Dr. Dre (USA) and Snoop Dogg (USA) on this new "Gin & Juice" product.

DJ had the dance floor bouncing.

We visit STK on a regular basis whenever we're on the Island but this is our first visit upstairs since their grand opening party in May, 2016.

The outside balcony was pretty full too.

The inside, jammed.

We ran into several people we know. Spotted in the DJ booth with Marc Sparcs, DJ Ish (USA).

Spotted by the bar: DJ Flashdrive (USA) and DJ Justin Z (USA).

Spotted in VIP: Jill and Jeremy

Spotted in VIP: Joel and Sammy

STK offers both indoor and outdoor dining. Located at the top of Hill Street on the Island, their building overlooks West End Plaza across from The Edison Orlando. It's located roughly where Comedy Warehouse used to stand.

Thank you to STK for the hospitality. Free food. Free drinks. Free music. Is it any wonder that a good time was had by all?
