Concert Report: Breaks & Beer (Three Odd Guys Brewing)

Last night we spent our Saturday in beautiful downtown Apopka, home to Three Odd Guys Brewing

No fake beer here. They brew their own.

They even have a small pizza parlor baking NYC style pies.

But we were here for the music which had begun at 6PM. We had a neighborhood birthday party to attend to first so we did not arrive until after 9PM. DJ Roller (USA) was in the booth when we got there.

At an event titled "Breaks & Beer", he was providing the Breaks!

These two girls were on the dance floor.

While everyone else just kind of bounced in place.

We recognized the DJ booth from downtown Orlando's now closed Neon Beach.

DJ Mike Presley (USA) had taken over the controls at 10PM.

His set included a lot of his own productions including songs with vocals. He constantly drew cheers from the crowd.

The crowd never got packed but Three Odd Guys is a really large room and there were people all the way back.....

.....and all the way forward.

The night was flying by and at 11PM DJ Genesis (USA) came on.

His set was just about all vocal Breaks including Breaks remixes of Human League (GB) hit "Don't You Want Me" and John Summit (USA) hit "Focus". Wow!

These two were on the dance floor just about the whole time we were there!

Dance floor got crazy at times!

If you're looking for Breakbeats around Orlando, check not only here at Three Odd Guys but also at Capital Room in Sanford and Grumpys Underground in the Mills/50 District. The best DJ's play in those venues.

We ran into so many peeps from the Orlando & Space Coast music scenes!

Last night's concert would run until 1AM so these two would take over at midnight.

Tag team set from DJ Swagkerr (USA) and DJ JROK (USA).

Swagkerr would play three songs and then JROK would play three.

Swagkerr opened with turn-of-the-century Opus III (GB) Dance classic "It's A Fine Day". So many of the big hits back then were Breaks. He closed his first turn with 80's hit "Send Me An Angel (Alejandro Shade Baez Remix)" which blew the club apart!

Hard to see in the fog but no one was leaving just yet.

JROK's turn.

He would continue with that great vibe of the evening!

The lasers were flying!

Such a great night and a good time was had by all.
