| Previous to that, the store operated on the Island beside 8TRAX in this building that was ultimately demolished. Prior to Curl it housed Superstar Studios, a place you could record your own songs onto a vinyl record. Big thanks to Blog-reader Troy for alerting us to this! |

| We reported last month about the closing of Something Silver in this West Side spot. Amazing Pictures is operating a popup shop right now but sources say Brooklyn-based Ample Hills Creamery will be opening here. They currently operate a shop at Disney's Boardwalk Resort. You may recall that Sosa Cigars used to be here before Something Silver. |

| Bongos Cuban Cafe is here until this weekend and then it will shutter to be replaced Beatrix, a Chicago-based healthy food restaurant chain. |
