Club Reports: Celine, Wall Street Plaza, Elixir Bar, Bar B

Friday night in the city and beginning my activities at Celine.

Arrived just in time to see DJ Ediz (BG/USA) turn the controls over to DJ ALCI (CH).

Not sure if it was House or Techno or Tech House.....

But he had the crowd bouncing!

I didn't stay long though because there was so much going on downtown!

Wall Street is a famous downtown street that is lined with bars and clubs collectively known as Wall Street Plaza.

They often have a booth at one end of the street to provide music for those staying outside. It was here we found DJ Mynd (USA) last night.

It was still pretty early and people were still filing in.

Playing an Open Format, there was one lone dancer who didn't care what anyone thought!

Of course we know DJ Mynd as a resident DJ at The Edison on Pleasure Island as well as Fridays here at Wall Street Plaza.

You'll also find DJ's at Monkey Bar, The Other Bar, Waitiki and Shine and unless there is a special event, there's no cover charge for the entire street!

You'll find Elixir Bar in a nondescript location along Washington Street.

At Elixir it's not about the inside of the club which houses a bar and tables, it's about this outdoor patio!

And that patio quickly filled-up!

For awhile there it really got packed!

House music all night long!

Dirty South (SRB/AUS) plays here one week from tonight; Eric Morrillo (USA) on October 5th.

Now over to Bar B for a night of Breaks!

Arrived to find DJ Berto (USA) in the corner booth.

No discernible dance floor activity at this point.

But the bar was busy.

First time actually seeing Berto's DJ skills at work since I always have arrived too late to see him.

Bar B resident DJ Jimmy Joslin (USA) was up next.

Continuing the Breaks & Bass theme of the night!

Dance floor was beginning to see some pretty girls and ugly guys.

There's no skool like the old skool. DJ Tooltime (USA) on the next shift.

Dance floor never got super-busy but it had its moments!

The peeps were dancing in all the corners.

Back inside, the headliner had taken over! DJ E.R.N.E.S.T.O. (USA)

He is signed to the Dirtybird Records label.

And his music fuses Breaks and that Dirtybird House sound!

I first discovered E.R.N.E.S.T.O. this past March at Breaks Yo in Miami when he opened for DJ Icey (USA).

Great music everywhere last night.....and a good time was had by all.
