More bad news for Church Street as V-Group announced the closure of four of their venues and we have no idea how they will be replaced. Back in the early days of Orlando this location on Church Street housed, as you can see, Herman's Loan Office. Nightlife fans will recognize it as the more recent home of Native Social Bar and before that, Mako's. |
Oak-paneled Club 23 has closed. |
As has Oakroom. |
Located in an alley behind Native, this hidden speakeasy using the name Herman's Loan Office has closed or is closing soon. Previously it was the wonderful Sound Bar where you could always find pure House music or Techno coming from a variety of international DJ's. Before that, it was called Back Room. It's run as Herman's lasted about 2 years. |
Better news, Celine will be opening around NYE in the building that most-recently housed Vain Nightclub and before that it was briefly Lyrica and before that Cairo. It will offer two levels of music plus a rooftop bar. |
Lots going on at Venue 578 formerly Firestone Live. If you missed our article last week, you can find it here. Link. |
