| West End Plaza had been renamed Celebration Plaza in support of the dorky "Celebrate Tonight" shows taking place there nightly. These were designed to gloss-over that Pleasure Island was dead at night with closed clubs scattered all over the place. |

| At the serving window of the reopened Laffers Cantina, we spotted DJ Talie (USA) formerly of club Motion and then of "Celebrate Tonight" chatting with bartender John, formerly of Mannequins. All this, 15 years ago this month! |
