Trip Report: Kuşadası, Turkey

Located in the southwest corner of the Asian section of Turkey,
Kuşadasi is a large summer resort city popular with Brits and Germans.
One of Turkey's major tourist attractions is located at Ephesus.

Only about 10% of the ruins have been excavated so far.

These date back to ancient Greek, Roman and Byzantine eras.
Many of the ruins are in pristine condition.  Many are in ruins.
We learned that the Romans built their coliseums on top of the surrounding terrain while the Greeks built theirs into hillsides. Thus, this one dates back to the Greeks.
When you gotta go, you gotta go, even back in the day!
