Club Reports: Disney Club v Universal Club

Last night it was time for the Blog's annual Disney club vs Universal Club competition. We began the night at Disney's only remaining owned and operated dance club, Atlantic Dance Hall.
We arrived to find DJ Lu-s (USA) in the perch on-stage.
ADH is cavernous so even if there is a decent crowd on the dance floor, it looks empty.
But line dance staples such as Cha Cha Slide, Cupid Shuffle & The Wobble brought more to the floor.
The music is Top 40, most accompanied by music videos on the screen behind the DJ.
Luis is the Saturday night resident DJ here.
It was more-crowded when we visited on New Years Eve as shown here.
A wedding reception after-party moved in!  Not sure why the DJ played "I like big butts...." at this juncture, lol.
And the floor filled-in. I couldn't stay though as it was onto the next stop in the competition. Atlantic Dance Hall is located at Disney's Boardwalk Resort and admission is free.
On to The Groove, Universal's largest of several dance clubs.
We arrived to find DJ M-Squared (USA) in the perch on-stage.
The Groove was Saturday-night packed!
As in packed to the rafters packed!
You can never go wrong with Go Go girls.
M-Squared is the Saturday night resident DJ here.
But the music was nearly the same as what I had just heard at ADH with a bunch of the same songs.
The difference is that Universal advertises their CityWalk complex while you'll never see an advertisement for Atlantic Dance Hall. And I mean, never. So no one knows it's there.
This year's winner? It was a draw. Same music at both venues, and at both venues, a good time was had by all.

Doesn't seem like a draw. ADH looks boring..even if it's filled with people.

Disney just doesn't give a s**t about nightclubs and it shows......

of these two. I like the Groove better.

They just need to do a full upgrade with the groove.
Audio system seems tired. Sub's cant handle the low end.

I believe The Groove won the first two annual competitions but this year ADH had enough good vibes going on to at least bring TG to a draw.

The Groove has more of a club setting with lighting and spraydown features that ADH doesn't offer.

I can't tell about the audio system at TG; I don't have an ear for differentiating things like that.
