Concert Report: Devotion (The Edge @ Ace Cafe)

Prior to Ace Cafe spending millions to rehabilitate this old building, this was once home to the H2O Church, :08 (8 Seconds) country bar and before that one of Orlando's most-famous dance clubs ever: The Edge.
The lines to get in at 7PM were already long but I finally made it inside to the main stage area where the dance floor was beginning to see some activity.
DJ Si-Dog (USA) was the opener.
Giving us some classics off his Dog Eat Dog Records label!
There were three rooms of music. Out on the patio we found DJ Def Jeff (USA).
While upstairs in the Vault Room we found DJ Bobby BuzZ (USA).
Circling back around to the patio, DJ Knightlife (USA).
All Breaks, Bass & Electro all night!
Back in the Vault.  The club was full of legendary DJ's last night from the local and national Breaks scene.  DJ Security (USA).

First time seeing a Security set since Miami in 2017 as seen here.
Adidas was the shoe of choice last night
Spotted on the dance floor: Sara, St. Louis-based DJ Angela Villin (USA) and World Famous Shawn Fenn.
DJ D-Xtreme (USA) taking over next.
Dawn & Katey surround Miami's Johnny Gamez.
Despite the low metal ceiling, the sound quality was excellent up here!
Back in the main room, DJ Rob-E (USA) took his turn delivering the Bass!
Dance floor was filling up.
Packed to the rafters!
Keith with DJ Rich Doss (USA). We give credit to Rich for keeping the Breaks scene relevant in Orlando with his monthly "Wake & Break" events at Bikkuri Lounge.
Sometimes when you attend a concert you have to take the bad with the good. Not so last night; every song from every DJ was a 90's banger!
DJ Who (USA) up next upstairs!
Over 1,200 advance tickets sold!  No one does that.
You could cut the euphoria in the room with a knife, it was so thick!
Classic Breaks set!
Out on the patio, DJ Noel Sanger (USA) continuing the theme of the night!
Peeps were dancing out here too!
Things were getting serious now at the main stage!
DJ Magic Mike (USA) on the decks startin' with some scratchin'!
He gives it his all whenever he does a show but you could tell this one was special as he delivered an Old School set!
He's been part of Orlando's dance scene like forever!
Another legend, DJ Stylus (USA), taking his turn.
Some DJ's had laptops, some worked off thumb drives but the medium of choice last night was CD's! That's what you would expect for 90's, right?
DJ Eric Berretta (USA) out on the patio.
David Minner dba DJ AK1200 (USA) on the main stage!
Working off those white skinned decks!
DJ Kelly Reverb (USA) taking over next and using his own equipment.
He is based in Dallas.
Main floor now completely mobbed! Yes, 90's ravers were back out on the scene again.
The excitement was off the chain!
Rich Doss was streaming the event worldwide!
Spotted:  DJ Angela Villin (USA)

 Spotted: DJ Heather Collins (USA)
Spotted: Cristine and Stacey
Spotted: Adriana and Anthony
Spotted: Gina and Emily
Spotted: Madeline
Spotted: Michael and Cheryl
Spotted: DJ Navitas (USA)
Spotted in VIP: East Side Angie and Christa
Spotted: Ashleigh with Dance singer Fal N (USA).
Spotted in the booth: DJ Jimmy Joslin (USA) with Krista.
Spotted: Sarah and Melissa
Devon was right in the thick of things!
Spotted: Tom with Pleasure Island's Matt.
One last trip back up to the Vault Room.
It had thinned out a bit. But not much.

For DJ Sandy (USA)

I first became acquainted with Sandy through his Sunday night gigs at House of Blues service industry nights but he was a huge name in Orlando way before that!
DJ Andy Hughes (USA) would close out the night in the Vault Room.
Now based in Dallas but a long-time staple in Orlando's dance music scene.
No matter what room you hung-out in, there would be no disappointment. In fact, the only disappointment was not being able to experience all the rooms at the same time!
Storm & Johnny Dangerously (USA) closing out the outside.
It was just crazy everywhere!
On the Main Stage, DJ KJ of K5 (USA).
Of course hit "Passion" got air play!
In 2001 DJ Mickey Bono (USA) joined DJ KJ for a "Passion" video made for MTV Europe here.
1AM and no one was leaving!
Headliner Scott Kirkland getting ready to come on!
The Crystal Method (USA).
Getting down and dirty like he always does!
"Busy Child"
I thought this would be my first time seeing him but I was reminded of his set at Gilt Nightclub back in 2016 as seen here.
This guy: Glyn S. Morgan. For more than a year he had been hinting about doing an old school party in an iconic venue and we wondered whether it could happen. Last night he delivered!
Understatement of the year but I got to say it: A good time was had by all!
