Blog reader Ken sends us this link to a YouTube video from MouseSteps showing the amphicars in action at the new Boathouse restaurant on Pleasure Island. And if you zoom ahead to around the 2:15 mark in the video, you'll find that Mannequins revolving dance floor has been repurposed! LOL! Thanks for spotting this, Ken!

While watching the video I was trying to make out what kind of soundtrack/music they are playing now on The Landing/ Pleasure Island. Anyone know??
Anon at 10:18pm, good spot! The Downtown Disney Guide Map has been replaced with a Tips For Visiting pamphlet which still describes it as Pleasure Island though. Something to check out the next time I'm out there.
I agree with the article a few weeks ago " We need nightlife for the adults, if they're going to keep up with Citywalk". So hopefully they'll fix up Mannequins and 8Trax for the adults.
You guys, don't you get it? Disney doesn't want to "keep up" with Citywalk. It's trying to differentiate itself.
If you want nightlife and adults, go to Citywalk. If you want high-end dining and shopping for families, go to Disney Springs. It's pretty clear Disney gave up on the "adult nightlife" idea and let Universal have that market.

Looks like PI is officially renamed The Landing.
RIP PI particularly the great AC and the CW.

I think there will be several pleasant surprises out there.

^ This.
However, all those restaurants are going to need to do something to draw customers later at night until the new 2AM closing time.
