While I haven't given up hope for an actual Mannequins Reunion, someone has determined that there's going to be a Pleasure Island Reunion for former club patrons and that it's going to take place this coming Saturday evening at Atlantic Dance Hall. Everyone 21+ is welcome, no matter what dance club was your previous favorite. The DJ will be spinning 70's & 80's for 8TRAX fans, hip hop for BET Soundstage fans, Top 40 for Motion fans and even some techno for us Mannequins fans. It's an all-request format. Admission is free. Introduce yourself if you see me; I'll be the one with the camera taking all those pictures! ADH is located at Disney's Boardwalk Resort at the end of the boardwalk.

Yo KingBob, I coming down from Ohio for Speedweeks in Daytona and we stay in Lake Buena Vista. I'll be there and be sure to seek you out. This blog has given many PI regulars pertinant information, closure, and hope. Much appreciated!
a little clarification; "someone has determined". Someone @ Disney?, or some individual off the street? I will be looking for any ADH signage regarding a 'reunion'. I would be surprised if there is any Disney association with this. But will be in attendance anyway due to my alligence to anything 8TRAX.

SoCalGal, this is definitely NOT a Disney event. I don't know who decided that there was going to be this reunion; all I know is that someone emailed me about it and word is being spread across several distribution channels. I'm told that the staff there is "aware" of it. Definitely unofficial and there won't be any signage.
If it's an all request-format... well, let's make sure they don't lack for requests from savepleasureisland readers! I volunteer to tee up Tiesto's "Just Be." :)
KB, you should gather everyone for a family portrait.
I unfortunately am scheduled to work Sat night and my efforts to give the shift away are not going well. Hopefully I get lucky so I can attend!
Bill, great idea for the photo. I'll try to gather everyone for a 12 midnight photo shot. Optional of course!
As for the requests, we'll have to see what he owns because I think the DJ's bring in their own music. I think there can be some exceptions but most of the music they play must also have a video to go with it.

I'll be there somewhere between 10pm and 11pm. I'm bringing my video camera. I'm planning on capturing some of the dance routines that the Club Motions regulars use to perform - many of them will be there. I'll be taking random videos all night.
well if that's the case, I have to go! Dance routines? bring it on! Thriller here I come!
DJ Talie mentioned that ADH inherited its in-house music library from BET Soundstage. Then each DJ brings their own collection of music videos too. So yes, everyone needs to jot down a few songs for the on-duty DJ to play and get those songs on his list!
