Club Reports: Celine, Abyss @ Good Times Bar & Grill, Palm Tree Club

We received an email earlier in the day that Friday night's headliner at Celine in DTO had cancelled due to illness. So we were sad to not be able to see DJ Martin Ikin (GB).

We went early anyway and there was literally no one here.

DJ Trochez (USA) was in the booth alternating back and forth between Latin House and traditional House.

Finally a few others arrived. Good music. We stayed for one drink and then moved on.

We headed to north suburban Maitland, home to Good Times Bar & Grill located where Fredster's previously operated and The Silly Grape before that. Known for their live bands playing Top 40 hits, we were excited to learn that the first Friday of every month is now home to "Abyss", the darker side of music.

The Goths come out at night. We opened the door and walked into this.

In the booth, the one and only DJ Lavidicus (USA).

The music mostly Industrial with bouts of Darkwave, Goth, Synthpop, Power Noise and more!

The music kept the dance floor full.

Quite a few members of the Barbarella crowd in attendance.

But a lot of new faces we've not seen before too.

They have a shiny disco ball so you know the place is legit!

Of course we know DJ Lavidicus from his monthly "Memento Mori" nights at Barbarella 3.0.

The next "Memento Mori" takes place on on Saturday, August 16th inside the Axe Trap on Lee Road in Winter Park. The next "Abyss" takes place here at Good Times on Friday, September 5th.

Great vibe!

And a good time was had by all.

Last stop of the night was to the new Palm Tree Club located at The Pointe along International Drive.

The club is owned by DJ Kygo (N) and when we walked in the door, it looked like this.

The headliner was already on.

DJ Mark Knight (GB)

Going House, and at times, Tech House!

Crowded but not as crowded as last weekend when we saw DJ Danny Avila (E) play here.

But he had the dance floor bouncing!

We last saw Mark Knight in Orlando when he played a tag team set with DJ Chris Lake (GB) inside the übercool Smirnoff House at EDC-Orlando back in 2016.

One year prior, we saw him play at New City Gas in Montreal.

That look you get from great House music.

Spotted in VIP.

Spotted in the Tech booth.

DJ NOTD (S) plays here on August 22nd, DJ Jackie Hollander (USA) plays here on September 19th and DJ duo Sidequest (USA) on October 3rd. Advance tickets here.

A good time was had by all.
