| When I woke up Friday morning, I had no idea that I would be headed to South Beach just a few hours later. But here I was passing overhead on approach to MIA to attend a DJ party at SiriusXM Studios. |

| Arriving a couple hours before the event, we wandered State Road A1A (Collins Avenue) to see what was what. The distinct sound of House beats led me to Hyde Beach Club located behind the SLS Hotel. |

| After stopping at the bar for my Tito's & Tonic, we walked outside to this. |
 |
| In the booth we found DJ Wrecky (USA) on the decks. |
 |
| As the sun set, quite a few people still hanging at the pool. |
 |
| The music was a mix of both vocal and non-vocal House. |
 |
| DJ Wrecky is based in Miami. |
 |
| Ah.....girls will be girls! |
 |
| We next headed over to the South Beach studios of SiriusXM Satellite Radio. |
 |
| A few minutes before 7PM we were ushered into Studio 601. |
 |
| It's a large room and the decks were already set-up. |
 |
| "BPM Beach" host Bobby Hendrickson (USA) came out first to explain the format. This is a weekly show on SXM channel 52 "BPM" but the first time they've also had a live audience attending. We appreciate the invite. |

| At 7PM sharp the show began with a few minutes of chitchat with guest DJ Jonas Blue (GB). |

| He would then begin his 50-minute set which was mostly EDM. |
 |
| There was about 25 or so of us in the audience. |
 |
| There was a little bit of House. |
 |
| Jonas Blue is based in London and Ibiza and he tells us he recently got a place in Miami. |
 |
| He says he's working on a redo for the Jonas Blue brand. Perhaps that will include some Latin as he played two Latin House tracks last night too. |
 |
| Our last SXM live event was seeing DJ Afrojack (NL) at SiriusXM studios in New York. |
 |
| We last saw Jonas Blue at EDC-Orlando back in 2022 when he performed with DJ Sam Feldt (NL) as DJ duo Endless Summer (NL/GB). He tells OEN that project has recently been on hiatus. |

| Jonas Blue has had a number of hits over the years but perhaps his biggest was "Fast Car" which charted at No 2 in the UK. |

| I told Bobby Hendrickson that he's much more animated than his BPM morning counterparts Rida Nasser and Geronimo. He laughed and said, "That's a good thing, right?" Yes, indeed. |

| The time passed way-too-quick and we were soon headed back to the airport. A good time was had by all. |

Sirius XM is NOT half as good as Sirius was when it became Sirius XM XM took off all the good channels!
I came from the XM side of the merger so your feeling is how I felt too but from the XM Radio side.
