| Ten years ago this month, July 2014, the Island was a mess! The Pleasure Island bypass had been constructed so that demolition and construction work could take place unimpeded along Hill Street. Comedy Warehouse and Laffers Cantina had been razed as had the front portion of 8TRAX. Construction of new storefronts was taking place along Hill Street. Adventurers Club, BET Soundstage and Mannequins were largely untouched at this point. |
