PI Update: Bridges Over Bubbled Waters

Let's cross this bridge one more time to beautiful Pleasure Island! With one of our readers reporting that this bridge is currently being painted, it eliminated one of our pending questions about whether the bridge would survive the Disney Springs conversion.
Known as the No. 5 Bridge, this is the only remaining bridge from Pleasure Island times when it was known at the No. 4 Bridge. It was renumbered when an additional bridge was added to the mix of bridges connecting the Island to other parts of Downtown Disney. In this case, it connects the Island's upper level to Disney Springs West Side. It was added in 2006 when the West End Stage was eliminated.
Another view of the No. 5 Bridge in the foreground with the newly constructed No. 4 Bridge in the background. It connects the Island's lower level to Disney Springs West Side. It is at this bridge that the muddy waters of Village Lake end and the springs begin.
The No. 3 Bridge is also new construction, connecting the Island's lower level to Disney Springs Town Center. It replaced a different No. 3 Bridge that was for cast members only and was located behind Comedy Warehouse. It crosses the western springs area.
Also connecting the Island's lower level with Disney Springs Town Center, the No. 2 Bridge is long and narrow and carries so much traffic that it's a real pedestrian bottleneck at peak times. It crosses the central springs area which is where you'll find most of the bubbling springs action.
Of course it replaced the original No. 2 Bridge which was also called the Mannequins Bridge. As you can see, the predecessor was much shorter and wider than the new bridge.
The newest No. 1 Bridge also separates the springs water from Village Lake water here at eastern springs.
It replaced this much-wider triple bridge system around 2006.
