| Back in March, 2014 the Blog did an article about the problematic parking model used by CityWalk at Universal Orlando Resort. We commented that unless Universal can find a way to offer free parking to those not going to the theme parks, all the new restaurants at CityWalk would struggle. We talked about all the new restaurants coming to Disney Springs and the Orlando Eye area that were going to be supported by free parking garages. Parking at CityWalk had been free after 6PM for Floridians but there was a charge for those from outside the state. Why would you pay to park to eat when there are so many free options nearby? |

| Finally, Uni announced Wednesday that effective immediately, parking would be free for everyone beginning at 6PM. This is a great move and puts their restaurants and shops on even keel with Disney Springs, at least at night. Bravo, Universal. (Paid parking remains for all during Halloween Horror Nights.) |
