Out on the town last night, trying out something old and something new. First stop favorite Suite B Lounge where there's always EDM!
DJ Geebo on the decks when I first arrived!
It was a Breakbeat kind of night with a large Breakbeat kind of crowd!
Miami's DJ Bebe taking over around midnight!
The music kept the dance floor jamming!
Spotted: Bebe hanging out with DJ ICB who had played earlier as well as Blog regular CJ!
Spotted on the dance floor: Promoter SarahV
Spotted in VIP: DJ Social Menace
There's a new speakeasy downtown called Treehouse but you won't see this sign until you're inside.
Instead you'll just find this nondescript foyer with a green door!
And then you climb the stairs into the Treehouse!
The Astroturf flooring gives the venue a quite unique look. Note that door back there.
Grab a drink and then sit down and chill!
Dancing to the light Hip Hop classics format. Treehouse joins Don't Tell Anyone and Hanson's Shoe Repair Shop as downtown-area secret speakeasys.
OK, now open that door and enter another world. It's The Attic where DJ Kid Judah was pumping out EDM dance hits!
Arrived just in time to get a glow wand!

Which lit up the dark club quite nicely!
Place was packed wall-to-wall!
It's gotten so popular that they had to remove the bed-like VIP areas. The Attic was one of the first venues downtown to go all-Electronic Dance Music. Zero cover charge helps the draw.
And a good time was had by all!
