After the purge of names on the Island, when all final traces of club names were removed, the sign on top of the cart was taken down and the side board signs sported a new name, Adventurers Hut. This ended up being one of the last vestiges of early PI days, surviving all the way until the No. 4 Bridge was closed and foot traffic was routed around western Pleasure Island. Who knows, we could see the Cart show up again somewhere in the new Disney Springs! |

Let's close and ruin the best dance club in the world and the other clubs and then wonder where everybody went and then add back in the alcohol to Pleasure Island to try to get some of the people back. WTF?
I agree with that comment, the whole thing is a pretty sad situation.
You would think they would wake up, and realize that a lot of people after 10:00 pm want places to party.
So where are the Nightclubs?
I guess they will all have to go to Citywalk, and spend their money.
Amen, Brother.
Plenty of alcohol around Downtown Disney but only 1 club...HOB.
So if the point was to get rid of the hoodlum teens who couldn't get into the clubs anyway or wouldn't pay the money if they were old enough why close the clubs? Was it the behavior of the people who did get drunk inside the clubs? Couldn't those same people get drunk from the outside bars that were resurrected and then cause disorderly conduct even more visible to the stroller element walking from East to West side or vice versa? I've been to DTD many times and haven't really seen a lot of really young kids late at night anyway so what gives? Why not have clubs?
Hoodlum teens were never really an issue at Pleasure Island. That was something made up by haters shortly after the clubs were closed.
Well what do you think was the real reason they closed the clubs, King Bob? I thought it was stated that overall they were profitable. Was it just that they thought they could make more money with third party leases for shopping and dining? I think you can only have so much of that.
