Downtown Disney & Pleasure Island will be absolutely packed tonight for Independence Day! |
However, ever since Pleasure Island fell to enemy troops, there no longer are fireworks on the 4th of July. |
So to make sure that everyone is aware, they've place discreet signs throughout Downtown Disney to remind guests that "No habra Fuegos Artificiales esta noche en Downtown Disney." |
You'd be hard-pressed not to see them though. |
Nonetheless, the number one question asked of CM's tonight will be: |
"What time are the fireworks?" |
Maybe they need just a few more signs! |

Happy 4th of July! I remember spending the 4th at Disney every year.. MK to Epcot and then to Pleasure Island. Yet, another year of Disney not getting my money.. Damn Mouse!
yes but there will still be people who will ask???? what time are the fireworks?
It's almost like religious fundamentalists have taken over TDO in the last 6 years or so. (Except for the new president of WDW perhaps.) it seems anything to do with Pleasure Island's clubs has been shunned. It's like some wierd Stepford Wives mentality or something. All while the call for the return of the clubs even on Disney's own blog has been deafening.
The new president of WDW is just a figurehead with no actual power. He stays hidden and hasyet to make any kind of decisions.
Heck, I'm so old that I remember a when we did 4 fireworks at WDW in ONE NIGHT in December. I think the order was Hollywood Studios (then MGM) for Sorcerer in the Sky, MK, EPCOT, and for the finale the nightly New Year's Eve fireworks at PI.... Ah, the good old days!!!!
Yes, the good old days!
