WHY: Because we've had several Pleasure Island Reunions, several 8TRAX Reunions but no one has done a Mannequins Reunion. Yet! Once voted the #1 dance club in the United States, it needs to be celebrated one more time!

A fairly easy fit would be I-Bar for that Saturday night. They already stretch the 80s theme as it is, so playing some house music as well shouldn't be that big of a deal. And Mannequins played a bunch of 80s remixes.
I walked into Mannequins for the first time in 1992. I was hooked from the first moment. Countless nights over the following 16 years and serious withdrawal even now... YES, a Mannequins Reunion would be just awesome!!!
Argh! Another conflict with an AC event (same as the last PI reunion, and at least one other thing before that.) I know there are only a few of us who loved both Mannequins and the AC, but damn. :)
Glad to see one is happening, though! Thanks to KB for spearheading it (or to whoever is, if it's not you, it's an idea whose time has come.) Guess I'll have to do some picking and choosing.
Uh, what AC event? Count me among those who loved Mannequins and the AC. Have I ever mentioned here that I'd love it if Disney brought back Mannequins and the AC?

Anon, I've been to several of the Top 10 clubs in the world and seriously, nothing even close to what Mannequins had in there.
Bill and FN, have to assume some conflict with next year's Congaloosh? I'm spearheading this project but I doubt I'll be producing it. Looking for professionals to do that.
Atlantic Dance Hall?, Sophisticated, Disney, Upper class, and always have plenty of room there.
Nope, ADH is not the place. The music is wrong, and the DJ would not be permitted to cater to "those Pleasure Island People". We,ve been down that road before.
ADH would be prohibitively expensive to rent. Won't be there. Where? I'll leave that to the professionals. But no matter where it's held, you don't need to worry about the DJ's. The plan is for ONLY Mannequins DJ's to be performing!

Just to clarify the above: Can't say the AC conflict I mentioned will be Congaloosh-related at this point in time, Congaloosh hasn't settled on our 2013 plans yet. But I do believe another AC fan is planning his own event that weekend.
KB: so who are these professionals, anyway? :) And if it gets to the point we can sign up in some sort official way to support the thing, let us know!

Bill, way too early to publish any names involved in this. We'll get a Facebook page set up for it early next year. The best way to support it will be to buy an Advance Ticket but that's a long way off too right now.
