Club Reports: Independent Bar, Vinyl Arts Bar, Treehouse, Bar B

It seems like it's been forever since I did a "Club Reports" from downtown Orlando. So you know if it's at all possible, I'm going to begin my Saturday night at Independent Bar.
DJ KC Cuts (USA) was in the booth with Lighting Tech Ernie delivering the 80's!
At this early hour the dance floor was still a bit spartan.
Not just any 80's, but 80's New Wave.
Where else in Orlando can you hear great tunes such as Men Without Hats (CDN) "The Safety Dance"! Yes, I-Bar is the place!
But if you're looking for House music, Vinyl Arts Bar is the place!
DJ Miss Jennifer (USA) in the booth when I came through.
The dance floor was a bit spartan over here too.
Great music though had everyone bouncing!
And then all of a sudden it got jammed!
A former resident DJ at Pacha NYC, first time seeing Miss Jennifer since 2015 at Peek Downtown as seen here.
Built into an old house, the DJ booth and dance floor are in the living room!
Time for a visit to The Treehouse!
First you climb the stairs and go up into the tree. DJ Heather Collins (USA) spotted on the way up!
No DJ here, just prerecorded music which last night was 90's.
Always a great vibe in here; everyone is happy!
Of course the main attraction at The Treehouse is grabbing a drink or shot and then chilling picnic-style on the grass floor!
OK, time to drop in at Bar B.
DJ Rich D was in the booth when I first got there.
Like the other places, the dance floor was just beginning to see some action.
DJ David Selgado (USA) was playing outside on the patio.
With DJ 21 Paths (USA) taking over shortly thereafter.
Dancing going on out here too!
Back inside, Rich D spotted turning the controls over to DJ Si-Dog (USA).
Bar B was now packed!
And you entered the dance floor with extreme caution!
So fuckin' adorable!

For those headed down to Miami Music Week later this month, Si-Dog's label "Dog Eat Dog Records" has an amazing show at SQL on March 28th ft. DJ Icey (USA), Stanton Warriors (GB), Marten Hørger (D) and many more!  Details.

Spotted on the dance floor: Mike

Spotted by the booth: Dance singer Fal N, Ashleigh and Corey.

Spotted in VIP: Cristine
Spotted on the dance floor: Ira & Jen with DJ Deekline (GB)
Spotted by the booth: DJ Keith MacKenzie (USA)
Spotted on the dance floor: Leah
Spotted on the dance floor: Yana with friend.
Spotted at the bar: Mike & Steff are DJ's Soul de Funk (USA) & Funkbaby (USA).
Stepping outside for some air, caught the tail end of a set from DJ Rob E (USA).
With DJ J-Dub (USA) taking over moments later!
Back inside, headliner DJ Deekline (GB) had taken control!
The dance floor had gone crazy!
The music of the night was predominately Breakbeats.
First time seeing Deekline since 2017 at Drinkhouse in Miami as shown here.
Breaks are definitely alive!
A good time was had by all!

PI Update: Late Night Disney Springs

Last night the Blog was out at Pleasure Island to celebrate the 1-year anniversary of Late Night Disney Springs. Yes, one year ago the DJ parties at various venues on the Island began!
DJ Michael Wycoff (USA) has become the resident DJ of the event which takes place on Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights from 10PM to 1AM.
The Island and Disney Springs overall pretty much died-out by midnight and this was envisioned to get adults to stay later.
It's been a success although this outdoor DJ dance party itself where Rock'n'Roll Beach Club used to stand has largely attracted teens and 20-somethings.
Spotted on the dance floor: Local partiers with the famed Eddy Maserati. Last year we did an article just about him here.
Another successful Late Night venture has been at The Edison.
DJ John Campisano (USA) was in the booth during our visit last night.
Guys, The Edison is where you'll find the girls!
DJ sets alternate with a trapeze artist and live band early and then it becomes an all-DJ set later with a Top 40 / Classic Hip Hop hits format.
Of course, The Edison back in the day used to be the power plant for the city of Disney Springs and you'll still find some of the old equipment in the complex.
Live band with vocalist playing mostly current Top 40.
Who says there's no dancing anymore on Pleasure Island?

 View from the top!
Fun times but be forewarned.....the drinks are expensive!
On the other side of West End Plaza is STK.
DJ Jay-R (USA) was delivering Top 40 to the diners.
The lounge was full but I've rarely seen anyone dancing in here.
OK, back over to the Waterview Stage for the DJ dance party!
A permanent lighting rig was installed last year following the continued extension of the DJ party. Originally this was going to be a Spring Break event through Easter weekend but then it was extended to Labor Day weekend and now indefinitely!
It's just plan fun!

Late Night Disney Springs is a success and a good time was had by all!
