Club Reports: Celine, Kush Ultralounge, Elixir Bar, Vinyl Arts Bar

Friday night in the city and beginning the evening at my new-favorite Celine.

Kush Ultralounge is a hidden gem located above Dank Smokeshop.

DJ Jerry "The Reverend" Johnson was in the booth playing an assortment of music spanning multiple decades.

It was early and the all-white decor venue was just beginning to see some activity.

Plus one chick shadow-dancing on the wall!

In the past year we've seen some great world-class DJ's such as Chris Lake (GB) and Sonny Fedora (AUS) play on the outdoor patio here at Elixir Bar.

VAB is built in a former home and the living room serves as the dance floor!

DJ Christopher Ledger (I / D) came on next.

The music was great as he continued with that Housy/Technoy vibe!

And a good time was had by all!

DS Update: Sports Bar Coming To The Springs

While there has always been a sports bar (ESPN Club) at the Boardwalk, there really has never been one in Downtown Disney or Disney Springs. Yesterday it was announced that City Works Eatery and Pour House will be coming to Disney Springs West Side. Opening in 2019, the venue will be located in this corner location in the NBA Experience building.

One of my favorites returns to Orlando tomorrow night when DJ Nora en Pure (CH) plays at Celine. She last played at the far smaller and sold out The Social.  Deep House.

I hate it when more than one big name is playing on the same Thursday night! Tomorrow night, Attic Nightclub goes Dirtybird as they have DJ Christian Martin (USA) playing!  Dirtybird House / Tech Funk.

FRIDAY OCT 12
Vinyl Arts Bar gets serious this Friday night for "Eastern Bloc" featuring DJ Ediz (BG/USA) opening for DJ Christopher Ledger (D/I).  House.

SATURDAY OCT 13
Special Saturday afternoon event at Celine as Corona Electric Beach presents DJ Tiga (CDN).  House.

SATURDAY OCT 13
The best show on Saturday night is an open to close set from DJ Roger Shah (D) taking place at Peek Downtown.  With DJ Suzy Solar (USA).  Trance / Balearic Trance.

 SUNDAY OCT 14
Special Sunday night edition of electronic music this weekend over at Gilt Nightclub ft. DJ Jauz (USA). Electrohouse.

DS Update: Boredom

Hate to beat a dead horse but there ain't a whole lot going on anymore in Disney Springs to report on. While we'll keep you updated on the limited nightlife out there, what's left is restaurant construction.

Bob's Bar Crawl II Coming!

Everyone is invited to attend Bob's Bar Crawl II taking place on Saturday, October 20th in downtown Orlando. Last year between 25-35 people followed me around while we dropped in on 10 different venues over 4 hours!  
If you're interested, we will meet at 10PM in front of Independent Bar at the corner of Orange Avenue and Washington Street. We will meet in the middle of the street since Orange Avenue will be closed to traffic. All selected venues have FREE admission and there is no charge to join the crawl. You're free to join-in or drop-out at any point.  21+ Event / ID Required.

Club Reports: Local Bar, Gilt Nightclub

Began my Saturday night at The Local Bar, located on Edgewater Drive just south of Par Street.

Here to see DJ Ian McDaniel (USA) playing Mannequins classics!

Primarily a sports bar with pub food, the new owner is also trying to add a musical edge to the venue!

Local Bar's claim to fame will be some subwoofers that used to be in Mannequins!

 Besides being a former Mannequins DJ, Ian McDaniel is known for his mix show every Saturday night on XL106.7 in Orlando.

Spotted: Local Bar's new owner is none other than DJ Pat from Atlantic Dance Hall. He was included in our 2016 Blog article called "The DJ's of ADH". Link.

Spotted: Mark Dean, a contractor who regularly worked around the Island's clubs.

Now over to Gilt Nightclub.

I had first seen Spencer Brown play this past February at Place Bell in Montreal when he opened for Above & Beyond (GB). Link.

The reason we were all here, DJ Andrew Bayer (USA).

And he would put on an animated set of mostly Trance.

So good to see Trance being embraced by the young.
