But unlike Embassy, they didn't close. They simply reverted to a name they used to use back before I started going there in the post-Pleasure Island era: Barbarella. We're told there will be renovations, new nights and new guest DJ's. I-Bar was hit hard after they reopened following last summer's covid closures. They had catered to an older clientele and many of them did not risk coming out of their houses after I-Bar reopened. The Goth crowd, a big part of their customers, never returned either. The change appears to be an attempt to get their former customers to return. We'll keep you updated. |
