Is Atlantic Dance Hall closing? That's the rumor going around Walt Disney World according to Blog sources. Supposedly the venue would continue to operate as an event center available for rental. That's where ADH has always made its money. But the rumor says the nightly dance club aspect of the venue would cease and Atlantic Dance Hall would likely get a new name.
When the Pleasure Island clubs closed, ADH became the only dance club on Disney property actually operated by Disney.
The venue is rarely advertised and is thus rarely crowded. After PI closed, the Blog investigated the reason and we were told that the club was only there because of a contract with the Swan and Dolphin hotels for Disney to provide them a nightclub. That contract supposedly was to expire in 2014 but we were told it was renewed through 2018. We have no idea of the accuracy of this information including whether they're actually closing. We'll continue to investigate. |

Really surprised that it's been open this long actually. Last time I was there at night. They threw all the folks out at 1:45 a.m. PROMPTLY and then once outside, basically threatened anyone making noise with arrest.
The whole concept seems flawed, there in the middle of the posh resort district.
Kinda would hate to see the last Disney run club go but it seems like in typical fashion, they haven't thought things through.
The club has its moments, Jeff, but not often. The NYE party is big; there's a Jingle Ball event in December that packs the place. But it's size means it's hard to make it look busy. In general, I highly doubt they make a profit off the nightclub aspect.
They should turn ADH into a silent disco every night! 8-trax on one channel, Mannequins on the other! No noise, yet I'm sure it would become a draw! If only they actually WANTED the place to do well.
As long as they don't advertise the place, it will never do good no matter what they're playing inside.
What about Jellyrolls? Will it close too, without the Swan and Dolphin nightlife contract?
Can anyone here help me figure out what music is played each different night of the week? One DJ who wasn’t good at all said he couldn’t play our songs because it wasn’t request night it was only 70-80s night. Super strange but now I can’t find that info anywhere ! Help! I go here often but there also seems to not be rhyme or reason to it. We are trying to plan a party here so now I really need to know ! Thank you!
I didn't know that they were still doing theme nights at ADH. Odd that they wouldn't play your request unless it was Country or Jazz or other odd genre.
