Beginning my second day in Miami with a day trip to the Bahamas via FRS Caribbean. |
They operate a fast ferry 5X per week from Port Miami to Bimini. It replaces a much larger vessel that we took there in 2015. Link. |
There ain't a lot here folks but it is fun to rent a golf cart and travel around! |
Alice Town is the largest city on Bimini. |
There are beautiful white beaches with turquoise waters! |
And you can never go wrong with Go Go girls! |
There are several hole-in-the-wall venues to imbibe such as Sand Bar. |
You can get a Bahamian-brewed Sands or Kalik at Island House! |
Crossing into Bailey Town. |
Home to 1-2-3-Floor! |
And I-95 Bar & Grill is just a few miles east of its namesake! |
What has put Bimini on the map for so many is the new Hilton Hotel & Casino at Resorts World Bimini. |
They have a swim-up bar outside as well as a fancy bar inside. |
Arriving back in Miami around 9PM, I returned to my Holiday Inn downtown. This is on Biscayne Blvd. and directly across the street from..... |
Ultra Music Festival |
My windows are rattling from the bass, lol. |
The nearby Intercontinental Hotel is adverting a main stage set from Sasha.... |
.....and John Digweed (GB). Although Ultra is so close, it's not on my list. |
But Electric Daisy Carnival - Orlando is and I was excited to the see the announcement that it will be back in November with tickets on sale soon!
