And the view over towards Raglan Road. Notice that former Ticket Booth #2 is now missing! |
The back of 8TRAX. |
More Blog team coverage from Save Pleasure Island Blog roving reporter Thommy taking similar photos in daylight. |
A few puddles remain but the water has been removed! The Waterfront Stage where Hip Kitty and Frankie & The West End Boys used to play has been removed. The corner covered gazebo has been removed. |
All the trees that lined The Waterfront on the parking lot side have been removed! |
The Adventurers Club is still up there. This picture also clearly defines the two level nature of the Island. |
But don't you worry......the Adventurers Club guy is still there! (Save Pleasure Island Blog takes to the air with fresh SkyCam photos Thursday morning!) |

All this construction is is vain if Disney does not give the public what they want which is high quality, DISNEY run Mannequins Dance Palace.
Disney is not going to miss one dollar from locals ,, Disney closed a place that was making money but not the money they wanted,I once told a friend they can close this place tomorrow and not even miss it,,and they did ,, so all the crying and yelling ,, Disney don't care at all about anything but Disney.. what they feel and want to do for their guest, not the locals .that's why it is called a tourist detestation.. and not a local retreat ..
The economy runs in cycles and there's going to come a time again when Disney wished they had local dollars. But yeah, this is all about the foreign tourist.
I'm not a local and I chose not to buy into Disney Vacation Club because Mannequins Dance Palace closed so they lost thousands of dollars from me, my family and my friends who are "tourists".
Didn't see a report about the missing letters on mannies? Surely I'm not the only one who noticed that.
Don't know what you're trying to say or imply. The letters that spelled "Mannequins" on the marquee as well as the words "Dance Palace" were removed in August, 2011. The sign on the roof of Mannequins that spelled "PLEASURE ISLAND" was removed a few months ago.
