Well somebody thought it was a good idea. Open Pleasure Island to strollers, eliminate the shows, tear down the stage, stop the fireworks, eliminate the exclusivity, raise the price.
The story of Hyperion Wharf.
Time is up. Way up. 3.5 years way up.

God I HATE these signs. Merely another of the many ways the Disney Co. whores out Walt's image and philosophies in an attempt to justify there bad decisions.
Appears to be a classic case of "Do as I say, not as I do." The real problem with dormancy of Pleasure Island is that the company, for some behind-the-scenes reasons, lacks motivation to do anything. The profit motive, apparently, isn't strong enough. But it's mind-boggling what a major impact on the adult market they could have if they even refined and revised the old Pleasure Island concepts. But again - for whatever reason - no motivation. Other things must be more profitable or capable of generating more publicity, interest, and profit. Pleasure Island may, unfortunately, be destined to lie fallow for many more years.
KingBob, totally off the subject.....do you have a twitter account? I've followed the blog for quite awhile and will continue to do so. If instance, Jason Garcia, of the Sentinel is on twitter, and my handle on there is DHass22 or just Don DeHass. I'm usually tweeting some drivel about my newfound vegan diet, but I'd like to know if you're on there. Or any other Save PI blog readers, I'd follow you.
