HAPPY HOLIDAYS! I've got to tell you about this fantastic internet dance station I discovered recently. Unlike many internet "techno" stations, this one is 100% pure Dance. Meaning it's that kind of music you would hear at Mannequins were Mannequins still open. Music by big name DJ's plus faster beat-per-minute remixes of Top 40 and hip-hop songs. It's very much like XM81/Sirius 36 BPM but without as much repetition.
The connection to XM doesn't end there though. DJ Armando who used to have the 5pm and 8pm ET shifts at XM81 before he got moved in the Sirius merger, is on Radio Danz at those times with his Addiction show! He has an incredible ear for what's going to become a hit and plays them before you hear them elsewhere. DJ Maxwell House, who was the original Program Director at XM81 when it was first launched is also on Radio Danz with the Danz 20 Countdown.....every Friday night at 6pm ET (repeated Sunday night at 8pm ET). There is also an Orlando connection: Bliss Ultra Lounge's Saturday night DJ Mickey Bono spins on Radio Danz on Friday nights at 9pm ET. He is followed at 10pm by DJ Smooth, also of XM and Orlando.

Terrific. Thank you. BPM has been sounding terrible lately- way too much 80s/90s from a station that's supposed to be playing today's dance music! Very cool to see the Orlando connection. One last thing BPM has going for it is having Orlando's DJ Leony on Air BPM Saturday nights. Really appreciate the news on the Orlando clubs!
crp, I believe Air BPM is now only run on Friday nights and thus DJ Leony is now only on at 1am ET. They used to rerun it on Saturday nights but I don't think they do anymore.
Leony is just one of a number of notable techno DJ's that are from Orlando. I think we have more awesome DJ's in Orlando than we have PGA golfers....and that's a LOT!
I'm hoping that XM is going to improve now that Skyyy is out as PD. It has improved in the past few weeks and I've got to say I would have never survived the Mannequins closure without XM81!
Sorry..my bio is turning into a book. I have a strong aversion to Hip Hop so for me to get back into the clubs, I'd have to find a club that will let me play what I play on RadioDanz.
DJ Smooth, you've got the same aversion as DJ Peapod which is one of the reasons we've not seen his return yet either. I may have to open my own damn club and put you all to work!

Thanks, Mickey! I actually met you last fall after the PI closure when I was trolling downtown clubs and talking to DJ's about what they were playing. I have been to Bliss a few times now but unfortunatly the crowd seems to request Hip Hop in lieu of the House music. :( But RadioDanz is incredible!
