PI One Year Ago

The PI Live booth overlooking the Hub was demolished.

The emergency stairs and doors from Mannequins 2nd Floor were removed. It still remains a mystery why they did this.

And let's not forget the fun and excitement of Celebrate Tonight!
A couple of rainy days in Orlando means nothing new and exciting happening on otherwise beautiful Pleasure Island. So instead, thought we'd look back on what was happening on the Island one year ago this month.

I don't know why you showed those pictures of two years ago?
What we do want to know is whether or they're reopening the nightlife or not next year.

Yes, that certainly was a mystery about those stairs being removed. I just can't come up with a good reason for that.

I kinda like the flashbacks he does, to remind us why we still used to hang around PI.

Anon at 9:58pm, the pics are from 1 year ago. If you read the article again, I believe I tell you why.

Jeff, perhaps when some announcements are made we'll finally know why they were removed.

Anon at 2:28am, thanks.

the venhe mdp was to become a restaurant that would have lower capacity and not require a fire exit there, there is another behind the stage near the green room where the original kitchen was when it opened. the contract negotiations for mdp fell through and the stairs were already removed. one more requirement , stairs, for it to reopen as a night club, to handle the fire code occupancy requirements

Thanks for the explanation, although I'm not sure it's overly clear what you just said.

Maybe next year you can post pictures from this year with a caption that says "Remember when there weren't any clubs open?" (I know...wishful thinking!) Just give us back 8 Trax and Mannequins, we don't even care what you theme them as...just give us some night time adult entertainment. Forget these "restraunt concepts"... give us music and good times again!!! Give us the only "revolving dance floor in central Florida" back!!!! :-)
