| During June, 2010 which is 16 years ago, Save Pleasure Island Blog was investigating that bright white light pictured in the lower right corner of the photo above. It had always been a bright white light. |

| Well in June of that year the light suddenly began emitting a cobalt blue color. SPI demanded answers but never got them and like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives. |

| The Labor Day Bash on the Sunday night of Labor Day weekend has become an annual tradition the past few years and we were expecting another one this year. However, sources have told Save Pleasure Island Blog and Orlando Entertainment News that House of Blues has supposedly booked some other musical act this year for that date which means the Labor Day Bash can't happen at HOB. If it happens, it would take place at some other venue. We'll keep you updated. UPDATE: Event is back on! |

| Crazyshake was a temporary pop-up store located in Disney Springs Town Center in the former Sprinkles location adjacent the No. 2 Bridge. That has now closed. Apparently, Ghirardelli Chocolates will be temporarily moving into this spot, per Orlando Business Journal. The main Ghirardelli location in Disney Springs Marketplace will be closing late this summer for extensive renovations before reopening in 2027. This temporary location will allow them to have a retail location during the construction. |

| Four more nightclubs are permanently closing in downtown Orlando. The largest venue closing is Attic Nightclub on Pine Street. We've rarely visited the past few years as they lost their relevancy. |

| They shared space with Treehouse that had this entrance on Magnolia Avenue. We used to love going here to have pictures taken sitting down on their grass floor. |

| Technically uptown rather than downtown, Oliv Bar is also closing this month. We called this place "the little bar with the big bar inside". Lots of fun times in here and we're going to miss it. Not pictured, Motorworks Brewing formerly Orange County Brewers which is downtown on Orange Avenue is also closing. Downtown is becoming bleaker and bleaker as the City of Orlando runs off bars and clubs with nothing to replace them. |

| Back in May, 2009 or 17 years ago, Dewayne Bevil of the Theme Park Rangers column in the Orlando Sentinel solicited his readers to submit ideas on improving Walt Disney World. We sent one in about Pleasure Island and he included it in his column. Long live Pleasure Island! |

| In June of 2009 club Motion reopened one more time. It had closed with all the other Pleasure Island clubs in September, 2008 but early in 2009 management allowed private rentals to take place in Motion. As part of Gay Days that year, someone did rent the place out for a club night and Save Pleasure Island Blog was there. To our knowledge, this was the final club event ever inside Motion.
