Club Reports: Remix Record Shop, Vinyl Rum & Tapas Lounge, Bikkuri Lounge

Began Friday night at Remix Record Shop.
There aren't a lot of record stores around any more but this one features DJ's every Friday night! When we arrived we found DJ Dave Cannalte (USA) in the booth playing 80's & 90's!
As it is a record store, you'll find Remix jammed with records!
And as a record store that features DJ's, you'll find Remix jammed with DJ records too!
Spotted on the dance floor: Jorge, Christa & Kelli
Resident DJ Smilin' Dan (USA) took over the controls later.
The songs were accompanied by music videos!
The cash register was doing some brisk business.
Just a really fun place to hang-out!
It used to be called Vinyl Arts Bar but that has been upgraded to Vinyl Rum & Tapas Lounge in order to emphasize that they are now a full-liquor bar with an extensive selection of tapas!
And they still have DJ's! Arrived just in time to find DJ Fobia (USA) on the right turning the decks over to DJ Leo Montoya (USA).
It wasn't crowded but those there were really getting into the music!
And you can't complain about the 75% female ratio!
House music all night long!
The shiny disco ball was spinning!
Just a really fun place to hang out!  Did I mention the full-liquor bar?
The Bikkuri building says "sushi" on the front, but there's a dance club in the back!
Arrived late to find DJ Agni (USA) in the booth!
It wasn't crowded but those there were really getting into the music!
DJ Richard Durand (NL) goes Trance for "Lost In Trancelation" here on Sunday, September 1st.
House music all night long!
The pretty girls always want to hang out with the DJ. Gisela (and daughter) in the booth with Agni!
Bikkuri is home to these amazing light walls!
Everywhere I went last night, a good time was had by all.

Concert Report: Best Of Orlando Party

UPDATED ARTICLE: Wednesday night and I find myself at The Beacham club complex in downtown Orlando as an invited guest of Orlando Weekly for their Best of Orlando celebration!
Every invitee received tickets for 3 free drinks. I arrived inside The Beacham itself just after 8PM where the DJ was working out of a projection mapped cube. Very cool!  But who is it up there?
The stunning DJ FoxForce005 (USA).

Mostly House music had people bouncing!

And as the only air conditioned venue, it got pretty damn crowded!

Michelle Jones (USA) played the electric violin in her light-up platforms. It was amazing how that went so well with the music FoxForce005 was playing!

Meanwhile these two guys were having fun too!
Now over to The Social.
Where DJ BMF (USA) was running the show with more of an Open Format type of night.
He had a live band playing with him.

And the dance floor got pretty crowded in here too.
We also passed through The Patio, where supposedly there's always a party!
DJ Dizzlephunk (USA) was playing Hip Hop, Funk, Dubstep & Heavy Bass during my several passes through.
Even though this was outdoors on a muggy night, there was a lot of people dancing.

There really is always a party at The Patio!
My favorite spot of the night was up on the rooftop of the complex at Aero Bar.
DJ Cliff T (USA) was putting out the House during my initial visit.
The crowd was building since the peeps want electronic dance music!

And then an unannounced surprise set from DJ Icey (USA).

As word got out downstairs, people were flowing in!

Spotted in VIP: DJ Def Jeff (USA), Cliff T, DJ Jason Brown (USA) & Glyn S Morgan from Future Sound of Breaks.

Spotted on the dance floor: Blog-favorites CJ and Debbie
Spotted in the booth: MC Collaborator (USA) with DJ Parry (USA) and DJ Icey.
Icey delivering Breaks & Funky Breaks as the floor got crowded!

First time seeing Icey play since his July appearance at "These Are The Breaks 3" downstairs in The Beacham.

Dance floor not quite as crowded as we see on Friday and Saturday nights of course but pretty damn packed considering it was a Wednesday night!
At all the participating venues at Orlando Weekly's Best of Orlando party last night, a good time was had by all.
