Club Reports: 380 District, Drinkhouse (Miami)

Friday night of Miami Music Week and an incredible number of events to choose from. My first  selection was the Future Sound of Breaks party at 380 District!
Arrived to find DJ duo Stanton Warriors (GB) going strong in the booth of the main room!
Club was already packed!
And their Breaks set had the crowd in a frenzy!
First time ever seeing them play as a duo; typically I've seen Dominic (right) but not Mark.
You can never go wrong with Go Go girls! Especially Kriss Reign!
Outside on the patio, DJ's Supagroover & Matrix (USA).
It had sprinkled off and on earlier so everyone was under the tent.
Breaks of course on this night dedicated to the genre!
We know both of them from the Orlando dance scene.
Spotted on the dance floor: Bridget & Maria
Captured at high speed: Sara
Spotted looking as precious as one could be: Adriana
DJ duo Rob E & Security (USA) taking over next.
Great music and lots of Orlando peeps!
Back inside, Delta Heavy (GB) has taken over!
Spotted near the entrance: DJ Fixx (USA) with friend.
Spotted in VIP: DJ Magic Mike (USA) & DJ Rincon (USA).
Spotted on the dance floor: Nikki
Spotted by the stage: DJ Prophet 808 (USA)
You can never can have enough Kriss Reign!
Great vibe in the club!
Now over to South Beach and Drinkhouse!
DJ Icey (USA) in the drinkhouse!
Small club but huge vibe!
The music had everyone bouncing!
Icey delivering exactly what the crowd ordered!
Spotted: Brooke with DJ Divine.
Spotted: Lady V
OMG, is that Kriss Reign over there? Yes it is. And she had danced earlier at Ultra Music Festival too!
Spotted in VIP: DJ duo Phat Kidz (USA)
Spotted in VIP: Ira Mazor of Mazor Promotions with Blog Favorite CJ.
Spotted on the dance floor: Jen & Ira Mazor with Athena.
More DJ's than you can shake a stick at: DJ's Divine, Timebomb & Rich D.
Only a one hour set but it was crammed with favorites!
Deekline (GB) getting ready to take over!
At both events, a good time was had by all!

Concert Report: SiriusXM Music Lounge

My original Miami strategy for this year was to fly-in, use public transportation by staying at a hotel near a Metrorail station and then have all planned events on the Miami side of the bay. That strategy fell apart when I received an invitation from SiriusXM to their Music Lounge event out on Miami Beach!
Taking place behind the 1Hotel complex on Mid Beach, I knew it would be too good to pass up! And I was not disappointed!

Sirius/XM had advised to arrive early so I did. I was first in line, lol!

Opening set from DJ Shaun Frank (CDN).
Followed by Deorro (USA).
Including his hit with Chris Brown, a short version of "Five More Hours".
Open for invited SiriusXM subscribers only, the beach quickly filled!
Up next, DJ Alan Walker (N).
First time ever seeing him and he'd play hits "Faded" & "Alone".
There were no posted set times and I quickly realized there would be 30-minutes sets from a lot of big names and you wouldn't know who would be coming up next until they came up!
Like Steve Aoki (USA)!
I had paid $30 to see him at House of Blues last fall and here he was for free!
The peeps getting into his EDM & Trap set!
This fast-paced format was so cool and I really liked it since there was no time to get bored!
And OMG, there was Paavo & Jono dba Above & Beyond (GB)!
Their Trance set included recent hits "We're All We Need" and as OceanLab, "Another Chance".
That look you get from Trance!
Brief appearance from DJ 3LAU (USA) introducing.....
DJ Hardwell (NL).
Enjoyable all EDM set from the current #3 DJ in the world!
Spotted in the blue jacket: DJ David Guetta (F).
Spotted in VIP: Some Receiver from the New England Patriots. His name escapes me but I hear he can catch pretty good, lol!
Spotted passing by: Current #1 DJ in the world, Martin Garrix (NL).
And the ever mysterious DJ Marshmello (USA).
Spotted on the boardwalk: DJ duo Ned Sheppard & Sultan (CDN).
And DJ Laidback Luke (NL).
Back on stage, DJ Grandtheft (CDN).
His final song included live vocals from Dance singer Delaney Jane (CDN) on their hit "Easy Go".
Laidback Luke (NL) up next.
His set edged between House & EDM.
Since you had to be invited here, it never got super-crowded. Drinks were Miami Music Week festival priced though around $20 each but were liberally poured!
SiriusXM's morning DJ Geronimo on the stage introducing.....
Marshmello (USA).  His identity always stays hidden!
When I was in Montreal in January he played three nights in a row at the huge New City Gas club and each show was completely sold out!
Delivering his hit "Alone" to the excited crowd! Fun stuff!
A-Trak (CDN) was up next. As I just saw him last month at Gilt and did not like his set, this was a good opportunity to throw-in the towel and call it quits!

Spotted coming in as I was going out: DJ duo Chocolate Puma (NL).
What a great event! A good time was had by all!
