Club Reports: Iron Cow, Barbarella 3.0, YAZ

Saturday night in the city and we began our evening in the Milk District at Iron Cow.

For the second night in a row we found DJ Mighty Shari (USA) in the booth. We had seen her Friday night downtown at Sessions.

Known as one of Orlando's best Disco DJ's, her set last night a mix of Nu Disco and Disco House.

It was early during our visit and just a handful at the bar and on the dance floor.

Up next, DJ Mershawn Maison (USA).

He would continue that Disco vibe of the night.

DJ had the club bouncing....even if it was just a handful.

 

Spotted on the dance floor: That handful.

Spotted in the corner: DJ Mr. Nukem (UAE) had played earlier and DJ Mathew Scot (USA) would play later.

Spotted on the dance floor: DJ Nina S (USA). She would play later too. Her monthly events alternate between Bikkuri Lounge and Iron Cow and always draw a crowd. Sorry we couldn't stick around but we had other stops to make.

Over on Lee Road in Winter Park, the building says The Axe Trap on the outside but on Saturday nights, dance club Barbarella 3.0 is happening inside.

We arrived to find this.

Resident DJ Indie John (USA) was in the booth delivering the good stuff.

Just like when Barbarella was in downtown Orlando, the music is 80's New Wave and Alternative.

All your favorite 80's tracks all in one place.

And about once per month they go completely Goth with their "Memento Mori" event. The next one is on Saturday, June 21st ft. DJ Lavidicus (USA).

Spotted near the bar: Blog-favorite CJ, Lighting Tech Ernie & Emily.

DJ Icey (USA) told us to tell you this was the best bartender in the club.

The Axe Trap building is located where Winter Park's famous strip club The Booby Trap once stood. In one corner, this stripper pole is available for your use at no charge. Management would prefer you keep your clothes on though.

Open only a few weeks now, we headed downtown to check out new club YAZ.

You enter into this front room which has a bar and seating. 

The back room is home to a second bar and a dance floor.

You may recall our visit a couple weeks ago when this space was completely empty. That was not the case last night.

DJ Matte (USA) was in the booth during our visit.

House music all night long and he was having a good time with it.

A bit heavy on the bros last night, lol.

But there were some females too.

Spotted on the dance floor: DJ Chino (USA) and DJ NUANS (USA). 

NUANS was the Insomniac "Discovery Project" winner last year and got to play on the kineticFIELD main stage at Day 1 of EDC-Orlando.

Everywhere we went last night, a good time was had by all.
