Club Reports: Alfie's HiFi, Atlantic Dance Hall, Red Coconut Club, Rising Star

We began our Friday night at new club Alfie's HiFi which continues to pull patrons away from downtown and over to the Mills/50 District. Located at the former home of St. Matthews Tavern, the place gets packed and there was already a queue outside at 10PM.
We walked into this.

DJ Frankmatik (USA) had just ended his set when we arrived.....

.....with DJ Mr. Mogembo (USA) taking over.

His set had the room moving. Music included 70's Disco, 70's Pop, 80's New Wave, 80's Pop and more!

The music at Alfie's HiFi is all off vinyl.

The club has their own albums but the DJ's also bring their own. Arrive early to avoid a long line which can stretch a block long! Parking is along residential streets in the area.

We next headed over to Walt Disney World and the only remaining dance club owned by the Mouse, Atlantic Dance Hall. They are now open nightly.

ADH is cavernous so it's hard to look crowded, but there was a pretty good crowd.

Yowsah, Yowsah, Yowsah! DJ Sarah Masters (USA) was in the booth.

The music was mostly EDM and Top 40 during our visit with songs by Afrojack (NL), Cascada (D) and LMFAO (USA).

Last night they were having a Summer Solstice party so a lot of the girls were wearing long gowns and pointy ears.

Most of the songs are accompanied by music videos such as this one from Sabrina Carpenter (USA).

Atlantic Dance Hall is located at Disney's Boardwalk Resort and admission and parking are free.

If we're going to visit Disney, it was only fair we visit Universal too. At CityWalk, we dropped by Red Coconut Club.

Here we found DJ Remeice (USA) in the booth.

The music was EDM during our visit but a variety of music genres get played at RCC.

It wasn't jammed but a decent-sized crowd in the club.

Admission to CityWalk is free and parking in the Universal Orlando garages is free after 7PM, except during Halloween Horror Nights.

As long as we were at CityWalk, we also dropped-by Rising Star.

Primarily a Karaoke club, during breaks a portable DJ booth is rolled onto the stage.

The mysterious DJ Mr. X (USA).

When we first walked in the "Cupid Shuffle" had just started.

And as a veteran of more than a hundred cruise ship "Sail-Away" parties, we joined right in!

Everywhere we went last night, a good time was had by all.
