Club Reports: Alfie's HiFi, Iron Cow, Elixir Bar

Friday night we only visited new or newer clubs. Last night we covered no new ground, instead visiting some of our Orlando favorites. We began the night at Alfie's Hifi located in the Mills/50 District.
Alfie's is currently Orlando's hottest club. We arrived around 10PM to find this line stretching from the door to the food truck next door. If you come early this queue moves pretty quick because everyone is allowed to enter. Come later once capacity is reached and it take much longer to get inside because they can only let someone in if someone else comes out.

Getting into Alfie's is kind of like going to a music festival. First there's the ID check, then there's the frisk search and finally the ticket scan or cover charge.

Cover charge? Say what! Guys now have to pay $10 to get in. Where's John Morgan when you need him!

The bar is located in the front room when you first arrive. Who says Gen Z doesn't buy alcohol? Even at this early hour it can take 20 minutes to get a drink.

The DJ booth is located in the back room and we walked into this!

In the booth we found promoter Stan Wright, DJ Romano Arcaini (D/USA) who had played earlier and last night's headliner.....

DJ Dave Allison (CDN)

As you may know by now, all the music at Alfie's is off vinyl.

The music was a mix of House, Funk & Disco and it had the crowd getting down!

These lasers have been added to the ceiling above the dance floor since our last visit.

If only they had said "please".

Always a great vibe at Alfie's HiFi. But come early.

We moved next from Orlando's Mills/50 District over to Orlando's Milk District, home to the Iron Cow.

We walked into this relatively small crowd on the dance floor.

We had missed the opening sets from DJ Seth Vogt (USA) and DJ Noel Sanger (USA) and last night's headliner had just taken over.

DJ Blake Jarrell (USA)

Mostly House set although we may have heard some Trance in there too.

Although not a lot of people last night, the dance floor always stayed active.

Spotted bar tending: Lee Courtley from Independent Bar/Barbarella 1.0.

Spotted in VIP: DJ Jeff Jefferson (GB) with DJ Mighty Shari (USA).

Spotted by the foyer: DJ NvS (USA) and DJ Ethan McCain (USA).

Great music!

We next headed to downtown Orlando for Blog-favorite Elixir Bar.

And out on their famous dance patio, we walked into this!

The headliners were already playing: DJ duo Cocodrills (USA).

Their set a mix of House and Latin House.

They always draw crowds so Cocodrills is invited to play here 3-4 times per year. Indeed, this pic is from September, 2024 as pulled from the Blog archives.

As we said, they draw crowds! The dance floor was mobbed.

It was packed all the way back to the outdoor bar area and beyond.

Everywhere we went last night, a good time was had by all.
