Club Reports: Swirlery Wine Bar, Morse Code, Citrus City Craft, "Club Revel" @ Capital Room Bar

Saturday night in the City and beginning the evening in Orlando's SODO district at Swirlery Wine Bar.
We had heard an Alternative night would be going on so we had to check it out. Alternative indeed, we walked in to find DJ Satur9 (USA) in the booth.

The music on the Industrial side.

Small contingent on the dance floor.
I couldn't get my gin & tonic since this is indeed a wine bar with a small selection of canned beer available too.

Spotted tending: Brandy!

Spotted stocking up on wine: DJ Carlos Mendoza (USA) with Corinn.

Spotted in the booth: DJ Robb Blak (USA). He would be playing later.

In the meanwhile, DJ Arcade Apocalypse (USA) would take over.

His set, louder and faster.

The crowd was growing.

With another large group over in the VIP seating area. Fun times at this monthly event.

Northbound and down, our next stop was Morse Code in downtown Winter Park.

We had heard a Disco night would be going on so we had to check it out. We walked in to find DJ Scot Marc (USA) in the booth

You can never go wrong with "Funky Town".

Morse Code is a long narrow room and like Swirlery, wine and beer only so no gin & tonic for me.

Sometimes DJ's play here; sometimes bands. We've seen the dance floor packed during numerous visits. When DTWP rolls-up its sidewalks at 10PM, Morse Code keeps going.

Spotted in the booth: DJ Yuri (USA) had played earlier.

Continuing our northward journey, next stop was Citrus City Craft in Lake Mary.

We had heard a Top 40 night would be going on so we had to check it out. We walked in to find DJ Sisco (USA) in the booth.

First time seeing Sisco in a few years!

His Top 40 set had the club bouncing.

Citrus City Craft was voted the #1 bar in Lake Mary by Orlando Weekly readers. And unlike our first two stops, they have liquor too so I could get a gin & tonic!

They have a band or DJ playing here every Friday and Saturday night. September schedule here.

Time to get funky with the "Cha Cha Slide".

Final stop of the night at our northernmost point in downtown Sanford where Capital Room Bar on select nights becomes Club Revel.

There are two rooms here with the front room home to this well-stocked craft cocktail bar.

It was here we ran into DJ Jason Brown (USA) with Noelle. We were hoping to see him play but he opened the night so we missed it.

We had also missed a set from DJ Knightlife (USA) who had played earlier, spotted here flanked by Carla and DJ Mike Presley (USA).

The dance action at Capital Room takes place in the back room and we walked into this!

DJ Johnny Park (USA) was on the decks.

We had heard a mostly Breaks night would be going on so we had to check it out.

He had the dance floor bouncing!

Downtown Sanford actually has a varied music scene and some weekend we need to stay and club hop up here.

It was Aimee's birthday party too!

Joined here by her main squeeze Bob.

Everyone wanted their picture with the birthday girl.

We ran into so may peeps from the Breaks scene. Some were new but most we knew.

Up next, NLP in the club with DJ Matrix (USA) and MC MB (USA).

It's never a proper Breaks night without NLP.

This is the one we love!

Dance floor was jammin'.

That look you get from great Breaks!

More peeps!

Pete Manos reminds us of the huge Epyklandia Hotel Takeover event numerous south Florida and central Florida DJ groups are putting together during EDC weekend at Opal Hotel & Suites in Altamonte Springs. More details will be released soon but it will include DJ entertainment from Fully Loaded, 808 Life, Torque Drum & Bass, Essential Freaks and more! Those names alone should make you go Hmmmm. We'll have a separate article about it once the deets are ready to be revealed. Advance tickets here.

The final set of the night.....DJ Supagroover (USA).

And he would go a completely different direction with a Drum & Bass set.

Both Liquid DnB and some Jungle!

Dance floor got crazy!

What a way to close out the night!

And through the 2AM fog that rolled-in off nearby Lake Monroe, we could tell that a good time was had by all.
