| Ten years ago this month saw the demolition of the Pleasure Island Bypass. You'll recall that during the peak demolition/construction times on the Island, the bypass was constructed to allow pedestrians to go around all the work. It began on the West Side and went around the BET Soundstage, Adventurers Club and Paradiso 37 buildings. It reconnected to land near the Hub. It also bypassed the demolitions at the Comedy Warehouse, Laffers Cantina and Curl by Sammy Duval buildings. Ten years ago this month, the bypass was no longer needed so it was itself demolished. |
