PI Update: New Water Taxi Pier

As the Blog has previously reported, the Downtown Disney Water Taxi service has been bypassing Pleasure Island for the past few months, providing instead nonstop service between the West Side and the Marketplace.  But a new water taxi stop will open this summer as soon as its connection to land is finished.

This new pier is going up between Paradiso 37 and the new Hangar Bar.

It thus will connect where it always has connected and most recently, where the Pleasure Island bypass causeway connected.

We're told this will open in July.

Once this opens, the remaining section of the bypass causeway can be demolished as well.
