PI Update: Changing Attitudes Building Razed!

One never knows what one is going to find when one crosses this bridge to Pleasure Island
Mannequins is still there.
Fuego by Sosa Cigars is still there.
8TRAX, missing is front foyer section, is still there.
What's missing though is the Changing Attitudes building that was attached to MDP.  You may know it better as the recent home of Apricot Lane and before that, Orlando Harley Davidson
This is a surprise because the concept art showed it remaining and there was speculation that it would become the entry area for whatever was going into the Mannequins spot.
Also gone is PI Live Bar and that whole metal stair tower complex that stood in that corner.
The fun continues.  Come out to Pleasure Island to check it out!

  2. No it doesn't. The portion of the building that has the power grid is still intact and as such, that includes the main building, dance floor, all levels, the stage etc.

It won't be a nightclub however when it reopens.

  3. THEE power grid is NOT INSIDE! the power grid would OVERHEAT! or need a HUGH AC unit to keep cool!
and or proves that they CAN take down most of the building if they want! and or we are TALKING about Disney! and DISNEY will make it happen!

  5. There is no indication that the Mannequins building is coming down. What it will be, I don't know.

  6. Picture isn't mine, but I found it on Google. Had to share. A great view down Hill Street back in the days when Fireworks Factory was still operational!

  9. It's scary to think how much of PI is dissapearing, and how quickly. Before August, CW was still there, The Changing Attitudes building, the front foyer of 8trax, Lombarde st.; and now it seems that everything is coming down very quickly. Fuego will be closing soon, Soundstage is coming down, and who knows what will be happening next!

It seems that the fun is really over on PI.

  10. Yes, the fun is definitely over at Pleasure Island. For the most part, it ended 5 years ago.
