  1. New Lights? New Paint Job? Maybe it's going under rehab like Test Track? Maybe they are freshening our place up like Big Thunder Mountain? Maybe it's going to sit there for another 3 1/2 years without anything happening? Damn Mouse!

Well, here's to hoping! Really, really miss the Island...

  6. Yes, they ARE LEDs...but the old LED valance lights were only red/orange. These ones are RGB...and color change. They never did that in the past.
(unless they always had the color changing disabled before)

  7. I don't remember EVER that they had these flashing LED lights operating during the years that I went there. And I don't think LED lights even existed in the years before I started going there!

  8. Oh well.. I guess we can discuss or argue it...but the short of it is:
The lights are on, but no body's home.

  9. when Mannequins closed for rehab they put them up but after some time they either didn't turn them on or they quit working.
and your right no body's home!

  10. Disney has been experimenting with LEDs for many years. They are long-lasting and energy efficient. They were an integral part of much of what would likely have been implemented in the Hyperion Wharf designs. This is a very logical technology for all theme parks, and the manufacturer sales reps are aggressivley pushing these out to whomever will listen to their message. Meanwhile, development continues, and LEDs get brighter, and coupled with more creative controllers. I expect that we're going to see some really neat LED implementations at Disney properties over the next few years.

  11. Brian, when was that rehab which would have been when they got installed?

Ace, thanks for the info. I think you are correct about the future of LED's at Disney, and at other clubs as well.
