Help Save the Island!!!

Have you sent your email or letter yet? If you read this website it's because you care about Pleasure Island. Please take 5 minutes of your day and write to Disney Chairman Tom Staggs and tell him how you feel. There are enough hints out there in the media that give some indication that Staggs is a person who isn't afraid to reverse previously-made poor decisions. This is our last chance to try to get at least some adult evening venues returned to Pleasure Island. Send an email, get your friends who remember PI to send one too! Thank you.

  1. We received the message you sent to Tom Staggs and he has asked me to reach out to you on his behalf. We appreciate your passion for the Adventurer?s Club and enthusiasm for our product offerings. We recognize that this ?entertainment adventure? was a unique experience and will certainly be missed by many loyal Fans, like yourself. Tom has personally spent a number of great evenings there and will miss it himself.

With that in mind, you will be happy to know that our Creative team is constantly exploring options for us to reintroduce the spirit of the Adventurer?s Club at our Walt Disney World Resort. It is too early to say when or in what form that might happen, but we will continue to look in the hope of finding the right opportunity.

Please also understand that a tremendous amount of thought went into our decision for the creation of a new vision for Downtown Disney®. As we look to the future, we are excited about the evolution that will occur over the next two years, introducing a brand new mix of shopping, dining and other opportunities for our Guests' enjoyment.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your comments with us.

    Sincerely,

    Ana Brady

  2. Adventurers Club come on!
that was a BIG waste of money! this "club" made very little money if any!? and some of you are asking for it to come back this is why I think PI is not coming back? your asking Disney to bring back a money loser! great!
now Mannequins was a BIG time money maker (it made more than all of the rest all together) sure in the end it wasn't ? but still made more than Adventurers Club!

  3. typical brush off letter..yet the bottom line of that letter is that dont expect much from disney, pi will never be like WE ALL want it to be. even if pi opened tonite, it would be met with less than ANY of our expectations. today any business would love to "time machine" themselves back to the late 90's when there was money in alot more pockets than today

    something HUH?
    yeah but what?
and would you want what Disney does? 1/10 of what PI was?
is that what you are looking for?
I do NOT! I would rather see it closed and have good memories of the good times and not something AWFUL!

  8. To Anonymous, thanks for sharing that response email but this looks like the email they sent out TWO YEARS AGO, not a fresh one. Yes, Staggs' name is inserted in there but the author refers to Adventurers Club "will certainly be missed" & "excited about the evolution that will occur over the next two years" & "brand new mix of shopping, dining..." That's the 2008 standard response. Not 2010. Nice try.

No response yet to my email. The phone number is legit for Ana. But the alleged response is future tense when it refers to missing AC when it should be past tense. The plans for new restaurants & shopping are dead. And the two year time frame is incorrect. Two years have passed and the new time frame has 3 years remaining. Finally, an email to Staggs is going to be responded to from Anaheim, not LBV.

  12. I don't know what you're talking about, I sent an Email to
Mr Staggs and hope he received it.
Anyway I gave, put my 2 cents in the pot.
Hopefully Mr. Staggs will really think about reopening the clubs, So the party people can again Rock PI!!!

P.S. C-mon Mr, Staggs it's been two years with nightlife.

Actually, corporate usually forwards messages sent to Staggs, etc, to the appropriate area responsible for the issue.

So, if you write Staggs about Disneyland, they will usually forward your message to Disneyland Guest Communications to handle.
Similarly, issues regarding WDW are typically routed to WDW for response.

It's rare to get a response directly from Stagg's office.

  17. Well KB is right about that being an old email. Either the original poster is faking that he got a response or Disney dug out the email from 2 years ago and is using it again. Tom Staggs should already be missing Adventurers Club himself, not 'will miss it' like it says.

  18. No my email wasn't fake at all. But I did use my company's email not my personal emaill account.

  19. KingBob, if the email is legit it's certainly striking. For Disney to say it's even considering a new AC-type experience is pretty much unprecedented. I don't think I've ever read a communication from them that's been so forthcoming.

The dreamer in me would love to believe this is authentic as it certainly falls in line with the AC related rumors you've detailed recently. The skeptic in me does wonder though.

  20. Well yes, Adventurers Club is definitely returning. Unfortunately not to Pleasure Island.

  21. Mr. Staggs,
If you can't save the Adventurers Club, Maybe we can atleast save the other 3 clubs,
    So let's all keep hoping.

    P.S.
I hope our comments are being heard by Mr Staggs.

  22. pi will become another vacation club

  23. Another reason I'm skeptical about the legitimacy of that alleged response is because the Anonymous poster appears to be the only person who has received a response. No one else on here has reported getting an answer from Staggs or Disney. Yet this guy got a response and says he wrote again and got a 2nd response. I don't think so.

  24. i wrote and sent email and have received no response as of today... i think too much is being discussed and no one wants to send a wrong message either way
