Concert Report: These Are The Breaks 3 (The Beacham)

Independence Day Eve and the place to be was The Beacham for the 3rd rendition of "These Are The Breaks".
Early in the program, DJ Dave Cannalte (USA) was the opener.
The dance floor a bit spartan at this early hour.
But as people streamed in, the floor's population would quickly build.
There was some early-rolling going on!
The lasers were already at work!
Cannalte turning the reigns over to the instigator of this event, DJ Kimball Collins (USA) who would do a short set.
Shortly before 10PM, back-to-back sets from DJ's Lee Coombs (GB) and John Debo (USA).
As the dance floor continued to build.
On this night dedicated to mostly Old Skool Breaks.
Spotted with camera: Club Photographer Brian Miller.
Good to see so many friends out last night!
John Debo relocated to Boston a few years ago so this was his first Orlando set in some time.
He was part of such local ventures as Sound Bar and Washington HiFi.
Really starting to fill-in out there!
We last saw Lee Coombs play last summer at Remix.
There's no school like the Old Skool.
You could cut the euphoria in the room with a knife!
And while there were a lot of old-timers in the crowd, I saw a lot of young faces too and that's important for the entire Breaks scene.
Spotted on stage: SarahK and Mia
Everybody having fun!
Around 11PM, the floor went within minutes from this.....
.....to this! It was now packed!

And also at 11PM, DJ Scratch-D (USA) from the original Dynamix II took over.
The lasers were flying!
I've seen Scratch-D several times now at these AAHZ events and last night was his best ever!  I kept saying "Wow" to anyone who would listen, lol.
Everybody was waiting for last night's biggest headliner.....
DJ Icey (USA)
Packed to the rafters!
Packed to the corners!
So many of the late 90's and early 00's songs we now call Classic Dance were actually Breaks!
Icey's set had the dance floor literally vibrating with hits like "The One"!
The Beacham's shiny disco balls were spinning!
Spotted back stage: Leah & Mia
DJ Icey tours all over the country and all over Florida but it's a rare special treat when he plays his home town of Orlando!

Annual obligatory photo of SarahK & SarahV.
Dominic of Stanton Warriors (GB) closing out the night.
2AM and no one was leaving!
Have you heard Stanton Warriors new song "Up2U"?
What a night with great sets from everyone! Can't wait to see what Kimball has in store for us on Thanksgiving Eve at AAHZ.  Last night, a good time was had by all.
