MMW Day 1

Miami Music Week is in full progress and I arrived in Miami mid-day and headed to South Beach. The Dorset Hotel was not on my list but there was a party going on outside so it was the perfect place to do some pre-gaming!

There was a lot of Techno going on!

And there was a crowd on the dance floor!

A good time was being had by all.

Operating as Nexus.Radio on the internet, I dropped in on their annual Nexus Lounge for the second year in a row out in South Beach.

Last year they had DJ's actually playing at their lounge but the music made it difficult to conduct interviews. So this year their chats with the many DJ's dropping by were unimpeded in the quieter setting. On the right, Throttle (AUS). He had played at Attic Nightclub last year.

So many of Ferry's songs including "Rock Your Body Rock" and "Fire" were staples at Mannequins Dance Palace.

Another favorite of mine, DJ Thomas Gold (D).  I previously saw him at Academy in Los Angeles last April.

DJ Julian Jordan (NL) getting his turn here. Yes, there were a lot of Dutch DJ's yesterday but the Netherlands is home to some of the best in the world!

Got to meet Dance singer Tanisha Avent (USA).  Her hit "Love Yourself" is gaining popularity!

The pace was quick with so many world-class DJ's coming in and out of the venue. Big thanks to Manny of Nexus.Radio for the invite and hospitality and to the Nexus staff for all their assistance! A good time was had by all.
