Concert Report: World's Largest Disco (Buffalo)

The Buffalo Niagara Convention Center was the place to be last night because on the Saturday night of Thanksgiving weekend every year, it's home to.....
The World's Largest Disco!
Arriving around 10PM and already finding the place jammed!
More bell bottoms and go go boots per capita than any other place in the world!

I don't know if these were the DJ's or not but they really didn't feature them. It was all about the music!
70's Disco music all night such as "Heaven Knows" & "Boogie Fever".
And "Knock on Wood" & "Celebration".
We were doing the "Car Wash" dance!
And doing it right!  It's better than digging a ditch!
There were dance routines on stage.
Pilot and his crew.
The music everyone knows the words to!
I want to fly on this airline!
With 70's clothes back in style again, no one really looked out of place!
Well, maybe a little bit.
"Get Down Tonight"!
Afros were big in the 70s'.....and last night!
70's commercials played on the big screen.
70's TV show posters ringed the auditorium.
The event is a charity fundraiser and some of the celebrities on hand included some of the Brady Bunch kids!
"Heaven Must Be Missing An Angel"
"Let's Groove Tonight"
"Play That Funky Music". The hits just kept on coming!
You never knew what you'd see next!
Estimated 7,000 Disco fans in attendance!
It was like a night in 8TRAX.....but crazier!
Dancing in every square foot of the place!
Obligatory shiny disco ball!
Packed to the rafters!
Deney Terrio hosted weekly television show "Dance Fever" beginning in 1979 during the Disco craze that had swept the nation.
Joined by Blair from "Facts of Life". Where's Tootie?
And five of the "Brady Bunch" kids, although the latter was the "Fake Marcia" from one of the later "Brady Bunch" movies.
Loni Anderson and Howard Hesseman played Jennifer Marlowe and DJ Johnny Fever on the 70's sitcom "WKRP in Cincinnati".  It was fun getting to meet them.
There was a "Grease" routine, a huge touring play in the 70's that was about the 50's.
When the 70's are playing, you just can't be anything but happy!
Right?
Nothing brings back the 70's like KC& The Sunshine Band.
And ABBA!
Live performance from trio Chic (USA) doing "Good Times" and "Le Freak" for us followed by Sister Sledge hit "We Are Family".  Everyone in the crowd was singing along!
If you think this is for you, save the date! It's pretty amazing!
You ain't lived until you've done the "YMCA" with 6,999 of your closest friends! I don't have to tell you but I'll tell you anyway: A good time was had by all!
